Dr. Xianhai Huang was born Pujiang, Zhejiang, China in 1965. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Fudan University. He was the Visiting Scholar of Harvard University in 2008.
Xianhai Huang is a Professor, tutor of doctorate candidate and the dean of College of Economics of Zhejiang University. Professor of the “Changjiang Scholars Award Program” of the Ministry of Education, national “Wanren Plan” leading talents in philosophy and social sciences, ‘Young and Middle-aged Experts’ with outstanding contributions from the state, experts enjoyed the State Council special allowances, national-level candidates for “100 million talent projects”. He has published more than 80 academic papers in newspapers and magazines such as "Chinese Social Science", "Economic Research Journal ", "Management World", "Xinhua Digest", "People's Daily" etc. He has successively presided over the National Social Science Fund and projects at the provincial and ministerial level, received more than 10 awards at the provincial and ministerial level. He is currently a member of the National International Business Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee, Vice President of the China World Economics Association, Vice President of China American Economic Association, and President of the Zhejiang International Trade Association. His main research areas are: Trade and Economic Growth, Trade and Industrial Policy, FDI and Technology Spillover
