Welcome to the Featured Art Performance:
Connecting People from Ottawa Communities
Time: 7:30 p.m., October 1, 2016 (Saturday)
Venue: Algonquin Commons Theatre

This featured art performance, by inviting international, national and local artists together to contribute to the community, is to creating a strong sense of belonging and reducing social isolation in connecting people from local communities. It is for individuals to gain a greater sense of belonging and have strong connections to the people around them. The project is to strategically align with a variety of Canadian governments’ mandates and priorities, such as the Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services’ mandate to build communities that are resilient, inclusive and sustained by the economic and civic contributions of all Ontarians. It is also to enrich overseas Chinese linking to China and Canada by enjoying the 67th Anniversary of the National Day with the 46th Anniversary of Canada-China Diplomatic Relations.

“Communities where people are open to difference, to others, are happier and more dynamic than places that are more insular and closed off.”

Justin Trudeau from Common Ground (2014: 107)

  More abot the concert.
