The Ottawa United Learning Academy (OULA) is a Canadian based non-profit organization created in 2001 for individuals and communities interested in Oriental languages, culture, and business. Supported by the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment of Columbia University and the Investment Analysis Center of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the OULA, along with its partner, Denfar Transnational Development, publishes a journal called Transnational Corporations Review (TNCR).

TNCR is looking for professional English reviewers/editors with an interest in international economics for its online project. The reviewers / editors will be responsible for editing and managing the manuscripts, marketing, and publishing as well as providing instruction to authors and assistance to special -advisors. This will be a long-term position with a flexible schedule. Ideal applicants should possess:

·        A Masters degree or above with disciplines in economics, business, or international development and/or professional/academic writing.
·        A high level of proficiency with computer programs such as MS-Office, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet.
·        A demonstrated ability in professional English.
·        Excellent communication skills and be highly self-motivated.
·        The ability to plan and organize his/her own work and be driven for success.
·        Experience in publishing learned journals.

The OULA also provides training and supervision through a three month internship experience for inexperienced editors in the operation of learned journals in print and electronic versions-. Qualified trainees could subsequently be offered a full time editor’s assistant position. For those applicants, the minimum requirements include:

·         A Bachelor’s degree and/or graduate certificate or higher designation.
·         Proficiency with computer programs such as MS-Office, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet.
·         A demonstrated ability in professional English.
·         Excellent communication skills and a high degree of self-motivation.
·         Experience in publication of learned journals will be considered an asset.
